The Wienerberger bat box has been specifically designed to be incorporated into the fabric of the building and to encourage the use by species such as Pipestrelles, Natterer’s, Whiskered and Brandt’s bats which are most commonly found roosting in buildings.
Although the boxes look similar to our competitors, they are larger in size and can accommodate more bats. The entrance & exit points are critical in dimension to allow air circulation whilst helping to retain body heat.
The internal structure is not split into chambers and with the unique arrow head internal fixings allows bats to congregate in different areas.

Our Bat Box is currently available in either the Staffordshire Smooth Red or Smooth Blue. However, if you require, the Bat Box can also be manufactured to suit any other colour from the Wienerberger range.
The offering from the Wienerberger bat box doesn’t stop there, we are also able to incorporate the needs of other species of bats such as the Brown Long Eared Bat by manufacturing the bat box so that it is open at the rear allowing access into existing cavities or roof spaces of older buildings which is where this species is usually found. If required, the bat boxes can also be joined side by side to increase the bats roosting space. The internal structure can also be altered to accommodate different species in other words the box can be tailor made to suit a particular species of bat.
