Terca supports the UK's leading bricklayers
Aimed at maintaining the highest standards of brickwork craftsmanship, the competition attracts over 1,500 college students from across the UK.
“As a registered charity, we rely on support from companies such as Terca to ensure we can continue to promote and improve bricklaying skills and standards,” said Malcolm Thorpe, Life Member of the Guilds.
“This is the third year we have run the competition and it continues to grow in popularity. Apprentices from England and Scotland are keen to put their skills to the test with the ultimate aim of being crowned the Guild of Bricklayers champion!
David Simpson, sales and marketing director for Terca commented: “Supporting this initiative allows us to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of bricklaying in the UK construction industry. Each competitor has to build demanding test pieces against the clock, demonstrating the considerable amount of skill required for bricklaying.”
Following 10 regional competitions across England and Scotland, the winning students will take place in a national final to be held on 21st September in Blackpool.
