Wienerberger welcomes Desimpel into the family
New addition will boost Wienerberger range
Wienerberger is to incorporate into its product portfolio the Desimpel range of products. Already well established in the UK marketplace, Desimpel will be fully integrated into the Wienerberger offering with immediate effect, adding to the 300+ products already offered by the world’s biggest brick manufacturer.
The beautiful handformatic bricks emulate a handmade appearance and are particularly popular in residential and heritage projects. In 2010 Wienerberger plans to work closely with customers to further develop the range and bring new products to market.
As a result of the integration, Desimpel customers will now be able to take advantage of Wienerberger’s national sales and distribution network. Mark Morris Sales and Marketing Director for Wienerberger, welcomed the move saying: “Desimpel already has a strong customer base, built on its reputation for quality and delivery. As part of the Wienerberger family we have the perfect platform to enhance the product portfolio and bring these bricks to a whole new range of customers.

The move is another perfect fit for Wienerberger which has brought a number of quality brands under its wing in recent years, in order to offer even greater choice to its customers. Desimpel soft mud stock bricks have a handcrafted, rustic appearance perfect for refurbishments, sensitive restoration projects and new buildings with character. Each is individually moulded and purposely designed to have an irregular shape and creased texture. Formerly distributed by Hanson, the Desimpel range includes traditional and aged styles in 14 colour variations, with special colours and sizes available to order.
