The first half of the year has been a busy and rewarding one for wienerberger’s social housing team, as we’ve been out and about across the UK connecting with partners, customers, and industry leaders. From regional housing events to national policy discussions, it’s been fantastic to engage face-to-face with those shaping the future of housing and retrofit.
Our 2026 events programme began in February at Housing Yorkshire in Leeds, where we had the opportunity to connect with housing professionals from across the region. Events like this provide a valuable forum to hear directly from social housing providers about the challenges they are facing on the ground from delivering new homes at scale to improving the quality and efficiency of existing stock.
Later that same month, we attended the BMF Parliamentary Reception at the Houses of Parliament, focused on Delivering and Retrofitting the High-Quality Homes of the Future. This was a particularly insightful event, bringing together policymakers and industry voices to discuss how we collectively tackle the housing and sustainability agenda. Being part of these conversations is critical, as it reinforces the role collaboration plays in driving meaningful change.
In April, we were proud to sponsor the Warm and Safe Homes Summit in London. This was a standout moment in the calendar, with a strong focus on improving housing quality, energy efficiency, and resident wellbeing. Supporting this event reflects our ongoing commitment to helping create homes that are not only sustainable but also comfortable, healthy, resilient, and future-ready.
Most recently, in June, we were invited by Liverpool John Moores University to speak at the Liverpool City Region Retrofit Summit and Expo event as a result of our ongoing association with LJMU and the retrofitting of three test houses on campus that we delivered. It was a privilege to contribute to the conversation and take part in an expert panel alongside representatives from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. Discussions centred around the practical challenges of delivering retrofit at scale, as well as the innovative approaches needed to make it viable and impactful.
We’re excited to continue the journey. We’ll be attending:
Each of these events provides another opportunity to engage with regional and national stakeholders, understand evolving priorities, and continue building strong relationships across the sector.
While digital communication plays an important role, nothing replaces the value of meeting in person. These events give us the chance to have open, honest conversations with housing providers about the realities they face, whether that’s navigating funding constraints or meeting decarbonisation targets, but ultimately with the wellbeing of their tenants at the heart of everything they do.
At wienerberger, we’re proud to support the sector with not only our extensive product portfolio and service offerings, but also our in-house architectural and technical expertise. By working closely with housing providers, we can help identify practical solutions to common challenges from improving building performance to optimising design and delivery.
“Renatus on the Road” is ultimately about listening as much as it is about sharing knowledge. Every conversation helps us better understand how we can support the delivery and retrofit of high-quality homes across the UK.
If you’re attending any of the upcoming events, we’d love to connect. Let’s continue the conversation and work together to build better, more sustainable homes for the future.
