Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

Learn what EPDs are and download wienerberger’s EPD documents

wienerberger has modelled the environmental impacts of our products to inform our innovation programme, and to create EPD documents for our customers to use in their building-level lifecycle assessments.

What is an EPD?

An Environmental Product Declaration, or EPD, is a standardised document that discloses the environmental performance or impact of any product or substance across its lifetime in a transparent manner.

It is based on the ISO 14025 standard and the scientific footprinting method Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

What is an LCA?

Life Cycle Assessment is a cradle-to-grave or cradle-to-cradle analysis technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a products life, which is from raw material extraction through materials processing, manufacture, distribution, use and end-of-life.
