Covid-19 Customer Support - Frequently Asked Questions

Q.    Does Wienerberger foresee any problems meeting deliveries at this time?

A.     We are working closely with our customers to achieve delivery and collection arrangements that are both in line with project timescales and that ensure the safety of our employees, customers and supply chain partners. If you have any particular concerns about your existing order or placing new ones, please get in touch with our Customer Support Team using the contact details below to schedule your delivery or collection. We’ve put together some answers to your questions to give you more information about how we are supporting you during this time.

Q.    We have some scheduled orders / loads that we were unable to collect / have delivered in March and April. What will happen to these?

A.     All scheduled loads that have not been taken during March and April will be moved to the end of the relevant schedule you have provided. You will receive separate correspondence relating to this with further details.

Q.    We still need products for ongoing construction works. Is Wienerberger still manufacturing?

B.     Our yards have remained open throughout. We suspended the majority of our production lines, however we have continued a limited amount of manufacturing to sustain critical project needs. The scaled down production helped to meet urgent demand, whilst protect the safety of all our employees, supply chain partners and the wider UK population. A phased return to production will be governed largely by increasing customer demand and will scale up over the coming weeks.

Q.    I have a new enquiry. Can I contact my local Area Sales Manager? If not, who else can I speak to?

A.     We are operating with a reduced number of employees during this short period to ensure business continuity and therefore, your Area Sales Manager may not be immediately available. There are others who can help, so if you have a general enquiry or need to place an order, please do so using the contact details below.

Q.    I have a query with a recent order, can you put me in touch with the right person?

A.     If you wish to make an order, have a query about an existing one or would like to make a general enquiry please get in touch with us by using the contact details below.

Q.    I am an architect and I need pricing and technical input for my designs. Are you able to support me at this time?

A.     We recognise that for customers who can work from home or practice social distancing measures within an office environment, the working day has continued to be busy, focusing on progressing key projects. With this in mind, we have a core team of staff in place across all departments who are able to support with pricing and technical information requests. Please contact us using the enquiry form below and we route your request to the most appropriate department.

Q.    Does Wienerberger have any additional training resources that I can use as part of my continued professional development?

A.     Wienerberger is committed to providing digital solutions, training and education for our customers and the wider construction industry, so delivering CPD (Continuous Professional Development) modules to architects via a digital platform seemed like a natural next step for us.

Wienerberger Knowledge Builder™ is an online library of CPD training modules which are accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and designed to enhance architects’ knowledge of clay bricks and blocks, façade systems, roofing and paving. The knowledge builder holds information for courses, non-accredited CPDs and inspirational content, including videos, case studies and blog articles. If you’d like to complete our RIBA approved CPDs in your own time, please visit to learn more. Q.    Can you send me a brochure or a sample?

Q.    When will Wienerberger return to ‘business as usual’?

A.     Preparations are well underway to implement new ways of working, ensuring compliance with guidelines for safe social distancing. We are ready to mobilise quickly and we anticipate a phased return to production, as the rate of customer demand increases and inventory levels are managed on a site-by-site basis.
