Connecting customers with the right solutions through purposeful storytelling

Published 12/10/2026

Ajumoke Nwaeze (AJ), Multimedia Content Executive at wienerberger UK & Ireland, shares insights into content marketing and how storytelling helps customers connect with the people, products and expertise behind the wienerberger brand.

At wienerberger, our journey is shaped by generations of innovation, our people, and the products and solutions we deliver. For our customers, understanding who we are and what we stand for is essential to building trust and forming long-term partnerships. That is why our marketing team focuses on telling the stories that brings our brand to life, helping customers gain a deeper understanding of who we are, what we stand for, and how we can support their projects.

At the heart of this effort is Ajumoke Nwaeze whose role plays a key part in helping our customers better understand our solutions and the value we deliver.

Reflecting on the impact of storytelling, Ajumoke comments:

"My role is to tell the wienerberger story in ways that are meaningful and relevant to our customers. While wienerberger is known as the world's largest producer of bricks, we offer so much more, from roof tiles to heating and piping solutions. Combining creativity with a strong understanding of our business and how our solutions solve real challenges is the core of what I do, with the aim to engage with our customers online."

From developing campaign strategies, writing blog articles to photographing and capturing video content of our people, products and events, I help create content that resonates, builds trust and helps customers better understand our value."

Creating content that drives engagement and growth

"I work within the Creative Team in the Marketing department but also collaborate closely with colleagues in different teams across the business.

"Since January 2026, we've been on our 'building for what's next' storytelling roadshow, visiting sites and factories across the UK and Ireland to highlight the people behind our business and capture their career journeys and contributions. We've also been working closely with key merchants, customers and tradespeople who sell and use our products, helping us better understand how we can deliver more value for them and their customers."

Having recently joined the organisation, Ajumoke is already making an impact and reflects on how that translates for our customers.

"I've only been with wienerberger for a little over a year, having joined in September 2025, and it's incredible how the stories we share continue to bring more people closer to the brand. Our people stories have resonated strongly with our audience, generating impressive engagements, conversations and comments on our social media channels. For instance, during the Super Trowel Competition, where wienerberger was a proud partner, our content helped attract both new and existing followers, growing our online community. I’m glad to have played a part in that success and look forward to connecting more people to wienerberger."

Speaking about the diversity of her role and why she enjoys it, Ajumoke comments:

"One thing I love about my role is the constant opportunity to learn, develop my skills to create great stories for our customers. I also get to connect with people across and beyond the organisation. Visiting our factory sites, seeing production processes first-hand and speaking with colleagues on site has been fascinating. More recently, we've also been visiting merchant partners and seeing our products in action on their shop floors. These experiences give me a deeper understanding of what we deliver and help me tell our brand story with greater confidence and authenticity.

Advice for young people looking to make an impact in marketing

"Every organisation needs marketing, and I'd say it's an exciting and rewarding career path for young professionals. Whether you're interested in manufacturing, construction, sustainability or another industry, marketing should become a natural part of how you think and communicate, not just something you do at work. Regardless of your experience level, you can start building those skills today. Most importantly, you don't need expensive equipment or fancy gadgets to get started. Your ability to tell meaningful stories is your greatest tool, and that's been one of my most valuable skills here at wienerberger," - Ajumoke Nwaeze, Multimedia Content Executive at wienerberger UK & Ireland.

At wienerberger, building for what's next is about creating stronger customer connections. Through authentic storytelling, Ajumoke helps bring our people, products and partnerships closer to customers, building trust and making it easier to access the expertise and solutions they need.
