At wienerberger, our people are central to everything we do. Across our business, colleagues are making a meaningful impact, improving how we operate, delivering for customers, pushing boundaries in sustainability and innovation, and shaping the future of the built environment.
In May 2026, colleagues from across wienerberger UK & Ireland came together for the wienerberger 2026 Employee Awards to celebrate the individuals and teams whose contributions are helping to drive our business forward.
The wienerberger Employee Awards are a celebration of achievements and a reflection of where we are going. The recognitions show what it’s like to be part of wienerberger: a business where people are recognised, supported to grow, and empowered to shape the future. By celebrating our people, we are strengthening the culture that drives our success because ultimately, building for what’s next starts with our people.
Speaking on the importance of recognising and celebrating our people, Catherine Harvey, Head of Reward at wienerberger UK & Ireland, comments:
“Our people are at the heart of our business, and we want them to know how much we value their daily efforts towards our shared success. This is why we celebrate the impact of their work across the business. The Employee Awards is an opportunity to highlight where our people role model the values and behaviours that make wienerberger a successful business, inspiring their colleagues to follow their example and reflect these in their own working life.
We know that peer-to-peer recognition is the most meaningful, so the awards are colleague-led. We ask our teams to let us know where they see the people they work with doing brilliant things so we can then amplify their impact by making their achievements visible across the UK & Ireland region, embedding a culture of celebration and recognition in all our day-to-day activity. Recognising our people helps them feel valued, underlines how important they are to what we do and highlights what makes wienerberger a great place to work: the people.” — Catherine Harvey.
For many of this year’s award winners, their success is rooted in collaboration, working across teams, sharing expertise, and building strong connections to deliver meaningful outcomes.
One of the winners, Samantha Da Silva, Learning & Development Business Partner at wienerberger UK & Ireland, reflects on her and her team’s winning experience, which reflects a wider culture at wienerberger, where people are supported to contribute, develop and make a real difference.
“I was incredibly surprised and honoured to receive the Culture and Celebration award, and even prouder that our induction project team was recognised with the Team and Togetherness award. This project was a major cross-functional effort, with a clear goal from the start: to help every new starter feel welcomed, supported, and well informed.
There was such strong competition in both categories, which makes this recognition even more meaningful. I’m truly proud of what we’ve achieved together. The collaboration, commitment and shared effort stood out throughout, and this award really belongs to every member of the team. we know the work doesn’t stop here. Recognitions like this show that hard work, collaboration, and shared belief in what we’re building really does make a difference, even when the journey is demanding. Our focus now is on embedding the experience across the organisation and continuing to improve it through our continuous improvement approach.” — Samantha Da Silva.
For Jodie Cheetham, Project Manager at wienerberger UK & Ireland, being recognised across multiple categories highlighted both individual and collective success.
“Winning the Drive & Dedication Award alongside the overall Gold Award on behalf of the MFP project team was a real highlight for us. The project was a complex integration, bringing together a new business, moving manufacturing to Cork, and transitioning customers, suppliers and systems into SAP. It was a real team effort, and we’re proud we delivered it while keeping things moving for our customers.
Also, winning the Connect & Communicate Award as an individual means a lot to me. The project was fast paced, so keeping everyone aligned was key. This award clearly shows the success of this project, and I’m grateful for the strong collaboration and new connections we’ve built across Pipelife Ireland.” — Jodie Cheetham.
The wienerberger Employee Awards reflect more than achievement, it highlights how collaboration, leadership and shared ambition enable our people to deliver meaningful results, not just for the business, but for customers and communities. We are not just acknowledging success, we are strengthening the culture that makes it possible.
Congratulations to all our winners!
