Glidevale Protect is proud to have supported leading timber frame manufacturer Kirkwood Timber Frame on the DIY SOS: The Big Build project for The Joshua Tree, aired on BBC One as part of Children in Need.
Working together, we donated a selection of our high‑performance wall and roofing membrane solutions to help create a much‑needed extension for the charity’s support centre in Cheshire.
About the Project
The September build focused on expanding The Joshua Tree Support Centre, which currently helps around 300 families affected by childhood cancer. With more families travelling to Alder Hey and Manchester Children’s Hospitals, demand for the charity’s services continues to grow.

John Mellor, Head of Marketing at Glidevale Protect, said:
“When Kirkwood Timber Frame approached us, it was an easy decision to get involved. I’m humbled by the generosity within the construction industry, and projects like this truly bring people together. Supporting such an important regional charity was a privilege.”
Malcolm Thomson, Managing Director at Kirkwood Timber Frame, added:
“This project has been both inspiring and humbling. Seeing so many companies unite towards a common goal created a tremendous sense of community. It’s an honour to support a project that will have a lasting, positive impact on families during incredibly difficult times.”
