Celebrating creativity: Draw on a brick competition winners announced
Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 was a fantastic celebration of innovation and design — and our Draw on a Brick Competition held at EH Smith’s Design Centre was no exception! With over 200 entries, we were blown away by the creativity and enthusiasm shown by everyone who took part.
We were honoured to have Professor Kevin Singh, Head of Manchester School of Architecture, as our guest judge. His expertise and insight played a key role in selecting the standout entries from an incredibly talented pool.
2025 Winners
Grand Prize
Alex Costea, Ryder Architecture has won an exclusive trip to Vienna to attend the prestigious Brick 26 Awards — a biennial celebration of architectural excellence and innovation in brick design.
wienerberger Choice
Ella Howard, Bickerdike Allen Architects impressed our team with a design that has been rewarded with a £100 high street voucher.
EH Smith Choice
Fanni Csepeli, Squire and Partners also takes home a £100 high street voucher with an entry that was selected for its unique approach and creativity.
Highly Commended
In addition to the main winners, we’d also like to recognise Sadie Murphy, Studio Rio London and India James, Bell Phillips who will each receive a bottle of champagne, celebrating their commendable contributions to the competition.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who entered — your passion for design and innovation made this competition a true highlight of Clerkenwell Design Week. And a special thank you to Kevin Singh for lending his time and expertise to help us celebrate the best in brick design.
