Eliesha Training Ltd
According to research by the UK Government, Managers and Leaders are amongst the least likely to receive formal training and development in the UK. The Business and Innovation survey revealed that 71% of firms are failing to offer training to first-time managers and 43% of UK managers rate their own line manager as ineffective – only one in five are trained/qualified.
Wienerberger have opted to take a different approach, as it our vision to develop our managers and leaders to the highest internationally recognised standards of knowledge, skills and behaviours through our commitment to the Leadership and Management Apprenticeship programmes.
As a result, Wienerberger has partnered with Eliesha Training Ltd to run a series of apprenticeships in Leadership and Management at Level 3 and Level 5, offering both the apprenticeship and an ILM qualification. These courses cover subjects such as time management, strategic thinking, communication skills and budget management.
The current programmes at Wienerberger are now coming towards their conclusion and we have already seen people passing the qualification with merits and distinctions, with a number of the participants gaining promotions and increased responsibility.
